Rising to new heights in her musical career, Dimahr is proud to unveil her third studio album, Flaws in Frame. This deeply personal project marks a pivotal moment in her artistic journey, embodying not just her evolution as a musician but also as an individual.
The album title itself, "Flaws in Frame" epitomizes the very essence of embracing imperfection. Drawing inspiration from how flaws are a part of what make an individual's uniqueness beautiful, much like worn edges on picture frames, Dimahr invites her listeners to celebrate their scars and experiences. She then elaborates, "Our imperfections and flaws make us unique and beautiful." With this work, she urges each human being to appreciate his or her uniqueness to let the scars of a bygone era act as triggers towards becoming more productive for self-growth.
Though "Flaws in Frame" is, undeniably, an assertion of love toward one's own selves, it faces certain of those painful and sensitive aspects of reality in daily life which overpower so many people, particularly women. The entire album is Dimahr taking a stand for women being violated and wounded, which is still evident in society today. She confronts these issues straight on and reflects on the rollercoaster of emotions she has experienced while recording these tracks, hoping her music inspires healing, empowerment, and a unifying force in overcoming these injustices.
Musically, "Flaws in Frame" whisks listeners on a kaleidoscopic ride, weaving together 8 roots tracks with 4 reggae-dancehall rhythms, all imbued with African and Caribbean influences. Such eclecticism follows from the various influences Dimahr has had and thus the many variants of his roots, leading to a sound as globally resonant as it is locally grounded. The rhythm and energy remind one that through music, in any form, comes strength and unity.

As we step into the world of "Flaws in Frame", we're reminded our flaws don't define us; they shape us; they make us who we are.
