AFRICANITES in partnership with Okavango Craft Brewery will host a 4-5 hour album listening session for Mambo Ntema on "MPAMBO" the EP on 24 SEPTEMBER 2022 at OKAVANGO CRAFT BREWERY (former SPORTS BAR) along the road to Matapana, past Sedie Hotel, in Maun, Botswana.
The event starts at 7PM ending at 11PM. According to the Event Manager Ms. Peace Wamukota, "the main Objective of the listening session is to afford people a chance to enjoy each of the six (6) songs in the compilation. The album is an Afrobeats genre, which expresses the softy side of the versatile Mambo Ntema who has proven to be the most hardworking lyricist ever to shine the soils of this land. MPAMBO Is packed with captivating melodious songs such as Empress of Divine which appreciates the essence of a woman as "divine, Miss Jackson which resonates the "Khumagadi aspect of a woman and a refix of the 2008 Bajah-Ekzyl collabo, Mpambo which intimately narrates the typical African relationship set up in different native languages, She which promotes an independentlovable character, Since Lately which recalls the urge to love with affection, and So Lonely which details chronicles of a loner.
The album, released early in 2022, produced by Tay Boz at Hash Tag Music, is Mambo Ntema's second musical solo project after STRANGER which scooped a BOMU Music Award for Best Reggae Rag8ga Dancehall album in 2021. The visuals for MPAMBO music video features AG NES the actress/ model and were directed, filmed, edited and produced by Jordan Boipelo of BONTLEPRIMEMEDIA and Mogomotsi lay Boz Moshongo of Hash Tag Visuals in Kasane. For his part, the cheerful Mambo Ntema said, "| am excited to be facilitating the listening session for MPAMBO the EP because I am working with a great team of organizers and we have come a long way to finally host this event, after searching fora suitable venue. And I must appreciate the talented producer and graphic designer Tay Boz, all the artists who are coming through to pertorm at the session, the versatile directors of ceremonies for the night, Mr. Murray and his team at Okavango Craft Brewery and our creative networker Mary-ynn Kieynhans for working with us in this session, Come Let's have fun"
The 2 hour session will feature performances by Mambo Ntema alongside Koolkat Motyiko (Mr. Seronga), the songstress Rita Christopher, the guitarist Ms.Gee BW, the comedian rapper Coster FX, the coolest rappers Metaphysics, G Macc and Killah Mac, the versatile rapper Payn,the energetic Vee Ali Majuru (Zimbabwe) and Mvb Beatz plus an open mic. The masters of ceremony for the event will be Peace, Cassie Paul, and Tecsion BW.
The event starts at 19:00hrs to 23:00hrs. Entrance is FREE but a donation(s) is welcome.
Dinner/Meals and refreshments will be sold at the event. ND
