BACKGROUND
Advokate I Dzemabweh was born Gabriel Muchanyu on the 22nd of May 1995 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. He is the last born in the Family of five. He was raised in Kwekwe, Torwood a small mining town located in the Midlands Province. He attended his Primary school and Secondary school at George Hill and Batanai (ZISCO) High respectively. Unfortunately, He couldn’t further his studies due to financial reasons.
His love for music developed back in High School in 2011. He never thought he’ll become a musician but his love for music grew stronger and he started searching for Riddims/Beats which were scarce at that time. Growing up in the ghetto and being exposed to REGGAE DANCEHALL Music made it easy for him to identify with the culture. He wrote his first song without any coaching and managed to juggle it on a riddim. Like any other upcoming artist, he recorded his demos using a phone. His best friend from high school Amon Ayesi is the reason why Advokate I is still doing music as he supported his path from an early age. He had his first studio experience in 2014 at Manix Brothers Records in Zimbabwe. Since then he has shared the stage with the likes of Kinnah, Tocky Vibes, Zig Zag Band, DJ Fydale, etc.
He moved to South Africa to pursue his musical career. He started working with Sparkle T of Soft Attack Music. He also linked up with Don Franco Tafari who was also very influential in his music career and image rebranding.
